Well, summers can be fun like relaxing on the beach or outing a whole day with your friends. But wait, a whole day under the sun – O MY GOSH…TANNING !! 😨
While avoiding TAN is impossible in INDIAN Summers, but removing them isn’t. So, Today we are here to guide you on how to remove those unavoidable tan lines with few simple home remedies.’
These hacks will not only help in removing tan but also, will make your skin healthy and glowing. And when it comes to natural remedies, there is nothing bad in trying them once as they will surely help you in one or another way.
Let’s get started with these remedies… Read till the end to know about various remedies and choose the one that is the most suitable one for you.

One more thing, we have tried to include only those ingredients that are easily available to you, and along with that are easy to use.
1. Lemon Juice

What You will need:
- A Lemon
What you have to do?
- Slice a lemon and rub it on your tanned area.
- Leave it for a few minutes and then wash it.
How often you should do it?
You can do this once or twice daily.
2. Lemon Juice, Cucumber & Rose Water

What you will need:
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cucumber extract
- 1 tbsp rose water
What you have to do?
- Mix all the ingredients and apply them on your tanned area.
- Rinse after few minutes.
How often you should do it?
Use this pack every day.
3. Gram Flour and Turmeric

What You will need:
- 2 tbsp of gram flour
- A pinch of turmeric
- 1 tbsp milk
What you have to do?
- Mix all the ingredients.
- Apply the mixture on a clean area, and leave it for 20 minutes.
- When it dries, take a few drops of water and gently remove the pack.
- If you are allergic to milk, use rose water instead of milk.
How often you should do it?
Do this every alternate day.
4. Papaya and Honey

What You will need:
- ½ cup ripe papaya
- 1 tbsp honey
What you have to do?
- Mash the papaya and add honey to it.
- Blend them well and apply it to the affected area.
- Rinse after an hour.

How often you should do it?
You can do this twice or thrice a week.
5. Milk and strawberry
What You will need:
- 4 Strawberries
- 1 tbsp milk

What you have to do?
- Crush the strawberries and mix them with fresh milk.
- Apply it to your face and tanned area for at least 30 minutes and then rinse it off.
How often you should do it?
Do this twice a week.
6. Potato and Lemon Juice

What You will need:
- 1 medium-size potato
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
What you have to do?
- Extract the juice of grated potato and add freshly extracted lemon juice to it.
- Apply the pack and leave it for almost 30 minutes.
- Rinse with water
How often you should do it?
Do this daily until the tan fades away.
7. Sandalwood Powder (Chandan Powder)
What You will need:
- 1-2 tbsp of Chandan powder or sandalwood powder
- Water or Rose Water
What you have to do?
- Add water or rose water to Chandan powder until it makes a smooth paste.
- Apply the paste on the affected area.
- Rinse it with water when it gets dried.
How often you should do it?
Do this every alternate night for better results.
8. Ice Cubes

What You will need:
- 1-2 Ice Cubes
What you have to do?
- Rub it to affected areas.
How often you should do it?
Repeat it as and when required.
9. Tomato

What You will need:
- A small tomato
What you have to do?
- Squeeze out a juice of tomato (prefer the one from your refrigerator to give a cooling effect)
- Apply the tomato juice and keep it for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse it.
How often you should do it?
Do this every day to remove tan.
10. Potato

What You will need:
- A medium-sized potato
- Cotton
What you have to do?
- Grate the potato and squeeze out its juice.
- Apply the potato juice on the tanned area with the help of cotton balls.
- Leave for 10-12 minutes and then rinse it off.
How often you should do it?
Doing it daily will help you get rid of tanning.
